Award Description
Established in 2019, The Beacon of Love Award recognizes an outstanding individual who reflects the legacy of our founder, Chris Madrid, in acts of service and leadership to benefit others. Chris Madrid is fondly remembered as a warm and generous man who loved life and people. A man of integrity and faith, he provided for others in quiet and creative ways, utilizing the gifts he had been given to bless others.
Criteria
A nominee should be known as someone who embodies the four ideals that reinforce the mission, vision, and values of Chris Madrid’s:
Solid connections with others are highly prized.
The nominee is known for building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships in all aspects of his or her life.
For them, it’s all about serving others.
The nominee has consistently demonstrated the concept of servant leadership in his or her community.
Their strength of character is an example to others.
The nominee consistently acts with integrity in all aspects of his or her life.
Their actions have brought unity.
The nominee’s actions have helped create unity and a sense of purpose for the organization(s) in which he or she has served.
