When most people think of San Antonio’s Beacon Hill neighborhood, the stretch of Blanco Road just north of a 28-foot-tall steel obelisk in the middle of a roundabout at the intersection with Fulton Avenue comes to mind. Peppered with densely packed antique stores and cheery gift shops — if you need a vintage desk or purse shaped like a concha, this is the part of town to be in — it’s easy to get lost in the growing number of businesses concentrated in this area.
